Hello, all of you that have been waiting... It really took some time to get this project going, but now things look like they should.
The luggage rack is not too big and not too small, it is chromed and you mount it in a few minutes. I have a small RESERVATION here : I do not know how it fits bikes made -95 or later, there is none available here for me to try it on, but it is tried on earlier models and fits perfectly. For those with newer bikes, just be prepared you might have to drill an 8 mm hole to get it secured properly. American customers will get two M8 screws included, if that seem to be necessary.
There is a picture on the Savage Club Finland website. The link is below. Click on the word "Markkinat" (means "market" in Finnish). The price of 140 Euro is NOT right, sorry. I put that in before the chroming. The chroming company, a nice little garage out in the woods of nowhere had some difficulties to give me a correct price before they where done with the first racks. Businessmen, you know... This evening I got a phonecall and they now gave me a fixed price. (More than half of the total costs!!) The price will be 175 Euro, and that is the same in US $. For those of you who don't know what "euro" is I can tell it is the new common cash in European Union countries. Good thing 1 euro is almost exactly 1 dollar (for the moment), this will make things easier. Anyway, I had hopes for a cheap and durable rack, but since I was advised to have them chromed, (most of you who mailed me earlier wanted them chromed) the price went up. Sorry about that.
I have 9 racks now, so the fastest ones get them at once, the slower or more thoughtful ones must wait about one month.
Please use my e-mail when ordering.
All good things ! Peter.
